DILLON — Carlie Haeffner’s 12 kills and six blocks led the way Tuesday as Butte High edged Dillon in a 15-25, 25-23, 25-21, 19-25, 15-13 non-conference volleyball match at the B.W. Lodge Gym.

Butte High used a balanced team effort to hold off the feisty Class A Beavers.

Jessie Buckley spiked seven kills and joined Hattie Thatcher with six aces in the victory. Thatcher also grabbed 17 digs. Sammy McGree, who tallied seven kills, collected 17 digs, while Baylee Thatcher hit the floor for 13 digs.

McKaul Ori dished out a team-best 17 assists.

Whitney Southam (16 ), Josee Pandleton (15) and Courtney Linder (11) reached double digits in kills to pace the Beavers.

Butte High is back in action Thursday when they travel to Billings Senior to jump back into Eastern AA action.
