Bulldogs Bolton, Corcoran named All-State

Hoagland, Tutty, Ferriter honored

The Western AA All-Conference and All-State selections were released today, and five Bulldogs received honor.

Aubree Corcoran and Jordyn Bolton were named first-team all-conference and All-State for Butte High.

Kodie Hoagland took home second-team all-conference accolades, and MacKenzie Tutty and Rian Ferriter received an all-conference honorable mention.

Corcoran, a senior, got the nod as an outfielder after another stellar year in left field. She batted .462 with four home runs.

Bolton, a junior, made the team as a designated hitter/designated player. That came after she hit .387 with four bombs.

Hoagland, a junior shortstop, batted .458 in the leadoff spot to set the table for the Bulldog defense. She also packed a .946 fielding percentage.

Tutty is also a senior for the Bulldogs. She played an outstanding center field before taking one for the team and moving to catcher because of injuries. She hit .397 on the season.

Ferriter is a sophomore whose arm and bat helped the Bulldogs. She was thrust into a larger role in the pitcher’s circle because of injury and more than held her own. Ferriter batted .403 with a pair of home runs.

Kalispell Glacier senior Kynzie Mohl was named Western AA Offensive Player of the Year after a record-setting season and career for the Wolfpack. Senior Amber Countyman of Helena High took home the Defensive Player of the Year award.
