Bulldog volleyball streak ends at Missoula Sentinel

MISSOULA — Butte High’s winning streak ended at three matches.

Missoula Sentinel took down the Bulldogs in a four-set Western AA volleyball match Thursday night. The scores were25-17, 26-24, 19-25 and 25-15.

Bulldog coach Jeni Hope pointed out that the Bulldogs committed 29 hitting errors as they fell to 7-6 overall and 2-6 in conference.

Ally Mueller’s eight kills paced the Bulldog attack. Emma Field added seven, while Brooke McGrath and MacKenzie Tutty each spiked six kills.

Grace McGrath, who served four aces, ran the Bulldog offense with 20 assists. Sydney Doyle added seven assists and three aces.

Trisha Erickson had a big night in the backcourt, collected 21 digs. Brooke McGrath added 17 digs, and Grace McGrath dug 15.

The Bulldogs have a week off before hosting Helena High next Thursday at the Richardson Gym.
