Bulldog Volleyball gets Home Win

The Butte High Volleyball team returned to Ross Richardson gymnasium Saturday after noon for a Western AA victory.  The Bulldogs once again played an aggressive, attacking match and it paid off with a 3-1 win.

Hellgate pushed the Bulldogs in game one but a strong finish gave Butte the win 25-23.  The Dogs used the momentum to cruise to a win in the second game 25-14.  Hellgate bounced back to take the third game 25-19.  Hellgate tried to force a fifth tie breaker bu the Bulldogs once again pulled off the 25-23 win and the match.

Sophomore setter Jaycee Cleveland dished out 27 assists with Averie Olsen putting down 11 kills, Laura Rosenleaf with 7 and Maddie Luedtke with 5.  Luedtke, Rosenleaf and Olsen also finished the match with 3 Ace serves.

The back court defense played a great match with 5 Dogs finishing with double digit digs.  Camille Kautzman led the way with 18, Olsen 16, Mackenzie Hansen and Rosenleaf with 12 and Luedtke with 11.

The Bulldogs will stay home Tuesday night to host Helena High at 7pm.
