MISSOULA — Butte High coach Dorothy Joyce called it a tough day on the tennis courts as the Bulldogs teams went 0-4 in duals against Billings Senior and Skyview.

The action was part of the Class AA crossover.

Butte High’s boys fell 4-0 to Senior and 3-1 to Skyview. Those scores do not reflect forfeits for the Bulldogs.

The Bulldog girls fell 5-3 to Senior and 8-0 to Skyview.

Against Senior, Ashley Olson and Sevanna Challeen teamed for a No. 2 doubles victory. Bulldog teammates Rebecca Radoicich and Maya Dare won at No. 4 doubles.

Butte’s Ellie Quist picked up a win by default.

Sam Sampson picked up the lone Butte boys’ win of the day. He won in straight sets at No. 2 singles against Skyview.

The Bulldogs will play their first home matches of the season Wednesday. Butte High will host Missoula Hellgate at noon at Stodden Park. That dual was a late addition to the schedule.
