Bulldog soccer teams drop two at Billings West

BILLINGS — The Butte High soccer teams went 0-2 in Eastern AA matches against Billings West Friday.

West won the boys match 4-2, and the Bears knocked off the Butte High girls 3-0.

Lucas Gerbasi scored two goals to lead the Bears, while Riley Krueger-Harding and Paul Ashmore each scored one.

Trevyn Roth and Justin McNabb scored goals for the Butte. Both of the Bulldog goals came in the second half, after West took a 4-0 lead.

West outshot the Bulldogs 20-10. Goalkeeper Erik Rosa saved eight shots for the Bulldogs.

In the girls’ game, Lexie Bloyder scored twice, and Nichole Unsworth once for West, which outshot Butte High 11-1.

The Bulldogs stayed in Billings overnight. They will take on Senior this afternoon.

Butte High’s boys are 2-1 on the season. The girls are 1-2.
