MISSOULA — Butte High’s season came to an end Friday with a 13-1 loss to Belgrade at the Class AA State softball tournament. ()

Tayler Thomas, Ella Seaman and Olivia Mills combined to hold Butte High to one run on seven hits.

Brooklyn Ragland hit a double and a single to lead Belgrade’s 12-hit attack. Khloey Robinson doubled, and Thomas, Arin Eaton, Shaylis Osler and Abbie Morin each hit two singles for the 2021 champions.

Dacelyn Lafond hit two singles for the Bulldogs. Kodie Hoagland, Rian Ferriter, Bryn Godbout, Madisyn Swanson and Maddi Jonart singled.

The loss closes the book on the careers of seniors Hoagland, Joscelyn Cleveland and Shanti Berkopec.

Butte High ends 2022 with a 9-13 record.
