Bulldog Runners Compete at State

Several Bulldogs completed the final race of the season in Missoula.  Ladd Hutchinson, Ryan Tomich, JJ Hadley, Kaden Hennessey, Cohen Grunhuvd, Kayleen Noctor, Alex Kovnesky, Samantha Smith, and Octavia Breeton. Alex Kovnesky, Kaden Hennessey, Cohen Grunhuvd all ran personal bests today helping their team to solid finishes.

Coach Wadas was pleased with today’s effort, “I have been impressed all season with how we have exceeded expectations.  Today was no different.  The girls ran unbelievably well and put us much closer to teams than we had been all season.  It was a fantastic race to watch. Olivia Thurmond and Lexa Thompson both stepped up for us today.  As freshmen there’s a lot to be excited about.”

On the boy’s side, Cohen and Kaden had their best races as Bulldogs.  “We set out to do better than we finished today but it was a very good day of racing.  I am proud of the guys because it was evident that they were committed and battled all race long.”  Ladd, Ryan, Camden Houchin, JJ, and Levi Wiltsie had solid races today.

“I am excited about the future.  We have some freshman boys and girls with state meet experience and if we can continue to get them to train with reaching the next level as a goal, we will be even better next year.  We are going to need some more dedicated runners joining us to replace all the great seniors we lose.  That’s not going to be easy!”
