Bulldog practices canceled for at least two weeks

Practices for all Butte High springs sports teams have been called off through at least March 27 because of the coronavirus pandemic, Bulldog activities director Chuck Merrifield confirmed this morning.

The move comes less than 24 hours after Montana Gov. Steve Bullock canceled all classes for kindergarten through 12th grade students in the state for the same time period.

The Bulldog tennis and softball teams were set to begin the season March 28, while the Bulldog track team’s first meet was schedule for March 31. Obviously, those seasons will not start on time.

Butte Central activities director Chad Petersen said Butte Central will announce their spring plans later today.
