Bulldog men sign Manhattan’s VanDyke

DILLON — The University of Montana Western head basketball coach Steve Keller has announced the signing of the newest Bulldog. The Bulldogs received a Frontier Conference/NAIA letter of intent from Manhattan senior Zach VanDyke to play basketball while attending UMW.

VanDyke is a 6-4 guard/forward from Manhattan High School. During his senior year he averaged nearly 16 points and grabbed six rebounds a game. He was the third leading scorer in the conference and made 40 three pointers on the year.  VanDyke earned first team all-conference honors and was selected to play in the Billings Senior Classic and was a Gallatin Valley All-Star.  During his high school career he earned varsity letters in five different sports, including four varsity basketball letters.

“We are excited that Zach has decided to join our basketball program at Montana Western,” Coach Keller said. “Zach is a hard worker that shoots the ball extremely well from three. We are looking forward to watching his development in our program.”

VanDyke plans to study secondary education and coaching while attending Montana Western.  He is the son of Scott and Corey VanDyke.
