The second day of the Missoula Invitational Golf Tournament saw an improvement in cores for most golfers on the Canyon River course.
Boys’ Results
Chase Choquette led the Bulldogs with a 13th place finish; adding an 84 on day two for a 162 total. Gavin Roesti carded a 165, Brenner Booth shot a 168, Jacob Sawyer 169 and Zach Sawyer a 176 over the two day tournament.
Glacier’s Tyler Avery was exceptional on the boys’ side; hitting the round’s lowest score of 70. With his opening day score of 76, he totals 146; tying first day leader Dutch Teders of Capital. Avery picked up the win on a score card playoff. Three members of the Polson Pirates- Carson Hupka, Hunter Emerson, and Espn Fisher, also ended with a tie of 148. Hupka and Emerson took the win on the score card playoff.
With three golfers in the top five, Polson walked away with the team title with a 589. Glacier was second at 617, followed by Capital at 648. The Butte High Bulldogs dropped to sixth place with a 664.
Girls’ Results
On the girls’ side Frenchtown’s Katie Lewis led wire to wire for the win with a 153. Followed by Anna Stensrud of Hellgate, just 11 strokes behind. Chloe Tanner of Glacier clinched third with a 166.
Capital girls took the team title with a 758 followed by first day leaders, Frenchtown, at 777 and fellow Class A Polson Pirates in 3rd with a 778. The girls from Butte High moved up to 5th place with an 865 score.
The Bulldogs saw Dylan Bartoletti finish in 17th with a 208, Taylor Sullivan finished 21st with a 214, followed by Chelsi Lyons 220, Kendyllen Lean 222 and Kate DeShaw 236.
The Bulldogs will play next Monday and Tuesday at the Belgrade Invitational.
