Bulldog Girls Soccer falls at Helena

The Butte Bulldog Girls’ Soccer team traveled to Helena Tuesday afternoon to take on the Helena High Bengals.

In the first 29 minutes of the game the Bulldogs kept the Bengals at bay only allowing them to score 2 points. Butte continued to play well for the next 9 minutes however, the last two minutes gave a relentless Helena High the chance to make the Bulldogs pay for their prior performance. By halftime the Bulldogs trailed 6 – 0 and the end of the game sent Butte home with a 9 – 0 loss.

Coach Steve Shahan said, “I’m very proud of how hard our girls played. They could have given up but battled until the end. We did lots of good things but seemed a touch off most of the game which made our effort even more impressive.”

The Bulldogs will head back to Helena on Saturday to take on the Capital Bruins. Game starts at noon.
