Bulldog girls rout Falcons

BILLINGS — Make it 11 out of 12 for the Butte High girls’ basketball team.

The Bulldogs rolled their record to 12-3 overall and 8-1 in Eastern AA play Friday night with a 57-34 conference win over Billings Skyivew.

The victory completed the season of the Falcons. It also sets up a first-place showdown when the Bulldogs play at Billings West at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Junior Haley Herron scored 15 of her season-high 17 points in the first half as the Bulldogs rolled to the lopsided win. Butte High led 18-8 after the first quarter and 36-13 at the half.

Ally Cleverly poured in 14 points, and fellow senior Aspen Lovshin followed with 13 for the Bulldogs.

Brittney Tierney added five points, while Mckenna Carpenter and MacKenzie Tutty each scored four. Trisha Ericson netted two.

Brooke Berry, a 5-11 freshman, scored 15 points to lead the Falcons, who fell to 0-14 and 0-9.
