Bulldog girls fall in OT

GREAT FALLS — Great Falls High outscored Butte High 17-14 in overtime Thursday night, and the Bison topped Butte High in a 67-64 girls’ basketball thriller.

The game opened the Eastern AA schedule for both teams.

Callee Remsen scored 14 points to pace three Bison players in double figures. Liz Klinker and Taylor Kumm each scored 11, and Kelsey Devlin netted nine. Great Falls High improved to 6-1 overall.

Hailey Hoagland’s game-high 15 points led three Butte High players in double digits scoring. Natalee Faupel and Sammy McGree each scored 14 for Butte High, which fell to 4-2 overall. Faupel also grabbed 12 rebounds.

Hattie Thatcher scored eight points, while Carlie Haeffner, Ashten McCloskey and Maria Michelotti each tossed in three. Erika McLeod and Andie Hogan each scored two.

Butte High is back in action Saturday when the Bulldogs play host to Great Falls Russell in an Eastern AA game at the Richardson Gym.
