BILLINGS — The season came to an end for the Butte High girls’ basketball team this morning.
Kalispell Flathead took command with a 17-7 second quarter, and the Bravettes beat Butte High 60-33 in a loser-out game of the Class AA State tournament at the Metra. (Stats)
Maddy Moy poured in 20 points to lead the Bravettes, who will advance to play the loser of the Billings West-Missoula Hellgate semifinal in another loser-out game.
Claire Converse added 14 points and nine rebounds for Flathead (17-6). Avery Chouinard and Kennedy More each scored eight points, and Akilah Kubi and Ivy Gannon scored four.





Kodie Hoagland’s 13 points paced the Bulldogs, who close the season at 11-12.
In all, eight Butte High players found the scorebook. Laura Rosenleaf, who grabbed nine rebounds, joined Brooke McGrath with four points. Pieper Joseph and Ashley Olson scored three points,and Payton Clary, Brityn Stewart and Emmarie Richards each tossed in two.
The loss closes the prep hoops career for five Butte High seniors — Hoagland, Joseph, Tylar Clary, McGrath and Olson.
Their careers did not end with a trophy, but it ended at the State tournament.
