BOZEMAN — There was no catching the Billings West boys Friday at the Bozeman Invitational golf tournament.
The Golden Bears followed Thursday’s 287 with a 293 at the Valley View Golf Course to win the tournament with a 580. Billings Skyview placed second at 616, while Butte High took third at 620.
The Bulldogs shot a 314 Friday after Thursday’s 306 at the Riverside Country Club. Skyview shot 308 both days.
Skyview’s Payton Stott shot a 1-under-par 69 to overcome first-day leader Joey Moore for medalist honors at 141. Moore, of Billings West, shot a 73 for a 142.
Butte High’s Trey Hoagland cracked the top 10, tying for sixth with Helena High’s Kienan Steif at 149. Hoagland shot a 75 on Friday.
Bulldog Eric Fogerty finished just out of the top 10, tying for 12th at 155. He shot a final-round 78.
Butte High’s Houston Green followed an 80 with a 79 for a 159, while Will Hoagland followed his 76 with an 84 for a 160. Isaiah Weldon carded an 82 for a 161.
Bulldog Alexis Williams improved nine shots for an 84, placing sixth at 177. Hayden Flohr of Billings West ran away with medalist honors with a 156.
Bozeman won the girls’ team title at 700, easily out distancing second-place west’s 752.
Butte High placed sixth at 891. Sadie Starcevich improved seven shots and hit a 102 for a 211 total. Katelyn Alley (233) and Kelliann Neary (270) also played for the Bulldogs.
Up next for Butte High is next week’s Class AA State tournament at Bill Roberts Golf Course in Helena.
