Bulldog boys fall in Bozeman

Olivar Carr scored 24 points and Caleb Weidenaar tossed in 23 Tuesday, as the Bozeman Hawks topped Butte High 74-64 in an Eastern AA boys’ basketball game.

The 6-foot-6 Carr hit on 9 of 12 shots as the Hawks raised their record to 8-5 overall and 3-4 in league play. Weidenaar hit on 11 of 15 field goal attempts.

Brian Smith scored 14 points to lead the Bulldogs (2-11, 1-6), who trailed 59-57 after three quarters. Dallas Cook scored 13 for the Bulldogs. Cory Farstveet added 10 points, Peter Granger scored nine, Chanse Kremer tossed in eight, Tucker Thatcher scored six, Killian O’Leary netted three and Dylan Cook scored two.

The Bulldogs are back in action Saturday when they play at Billings West.
