Butte High senior softball player Amanda Spear’s stellar senior season was rewarded when she was named first-team All-State.
The All-State and all-conference teams were released this week, and Spear received the top honor as a designated player.
Spear took a .382 batting average into the Class AA State tournament for the Bulldogs. She hit three home runs and two doubles while driving in 17 run in 24 games, which count the regular season and playoff series.
Spear was one of five Bulldogs seniors to receive post-season awards. She also received a first-team all-conference nod.
Bethany McLean was named second-team all-conference at first base. Teammates Tristan Walks and Justyce Connole received the same in the outfield.
Catcher Maria Michelotti received an all-conference honorable mention.
