A seven-run seventh inning sunk the Butte Miners Friday night on Miners Field at 3 Legends Stadium.
The Bitterroot Bucs put up the seven spot to overcome a 9-8 deficit for the 15-9 non-conference victory. The rare single game was scheduled for seven innings. (Boxscore)
Andrew Scully homered and drove in three runs, while Troy Larson hit two doubles and drove in four runs to lead the Bucs. Colby Kohlman smacked three doubles.
Eric Hart went 3 for 5 with three RBIs to pace the Miner offense. Rye Doherty hit a double, and Reece Cox hit two singles. Egan Lester, Kian O’Neill, Aidan Lee, Evan Starr and Ethan Cunningham also singled for Butte.
The loss snapped Butte’s eight-game winning streak. It also ends the Miners season at 26-22 overall and 26-22 in conference. The Southern A District Tournament begins Thursday in Livingston.
