Broncs edge Blue Devils

A bucket by Katelyn Dickemore with 8 seconds left broke a tie, and Hamilton knocked off Corvallis 48-44 tonight in the semifinals of the Southwestern A District girls’ basketball tournament at the Maroon Activities Center. (Stats)

The Broncs move on to Saturday’s 8 p.m. championship game. The Blue Devils head to a loser-out game Saturday morning at Butte High’s Richardson Gym.

Lauren Ryter scored 17 points and pulled down nine rebounds to lead Hamilton (12-8). Abby Johnson, Mariola Tesoro and Dickemore each scored seven points.

Lainie Albright’s 11 points paced the Blue Devils (12-7). Calla Holdorson and Hannah Martin each scored eight points, while Madeline Gilder scored six. Haldorson added 11 rebounds.
