Brad Wilson falls on second run

SOCHI, Russia — Brad Wilson will not be returning home with an Olympic medal. At least not this time.

The Butte native fell on the first jump of his second run of the day Monday. Wilson got up and finished the run, which was on the first round of the finals.

He scored 9.90 on the run. He scored a 21.68 in qualifying eighth in qualifying round.

Canada’s Alex Bilodeau won gold in the event for the second straight Olympic Games. Fellow Canadian Mikael Kingsbury took the silver, while Alexandra Smyshlyaev of Russia won the bronze.

Patrick Deneen of the United States placed sixth.
