WHITEFISH — Bryan Bock of Montana Tech was named the Frontier Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Bock is a 6-foot-3 senior guard from Rialto, Calif. The Orediggers split their weekend series, winning at Carroll 79-78 and losing at No. 11 Rocky Mountain 101-86.
He averaged 30 points, six rebounds and three assists per game. He was 19 of 30 from the field (63 percent), 3 of 5 for 3-point field goals (60 percent) and 19 of 23 free throws (83 percent). Against Carroll, Bock made three free throws with one second remaining that carried Tech to the one-point road victory.
Jacob Champoux of Lewis-Clark State, T.J. Harris of the University of Great Falls, Sian Lane of Rocky Mountain, Corbin Pearson of Montana State-Northern and Tallon Robertson of Westminster College were also nominated for the award
Alli Blake of Westminster College was named the Frontier Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Blake is a 5-foot-11 senior forward from Kaysville, Utah. The Griffins stayed unbeaten in the Frontier Conference with home wins over the University of Great Falls 70-51 and MSU-Northern 62-41. In addition to staying unbeaten in conference, Westminster clinched their sixth straight regular season title.
She averaged 19.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and four steals. Blake was 13 of 21 from field (62 percent) and 13 of 16 from the free throw line (81 percent).
Kabri Emerson of Montana Tech, Lindsey Abramson of the University of Great Falls, Sammi Bignell of Montana Western, Natalie Faupel of MSU-Northern, Kayla Lucas of Rocky Mountain and Caelyn Orlandi of Lewis-Clark State were also nominated for the award.
