BOZEMAN — The Sports Network released their latest poll on Monday and Montana State Football jumped one spot to fourth in the FCS, coming off the bye week. Last week, Montana State fell from two to five following a 27-24 loss to Eastern Washington.
The Bobcats return to action this Saturday, Oct. 27 when they host new conference member North Dakota. Kick-off is slated for 2:05 p.m. MSU will look to bounce back from their sole loss of 2012 and keep climbing the ranks.
The Blue and Gold began the year with a pre-season rank at number four.
MSU is one of four Big Sky Conference teams in the top-25. Eastern Washington’s win over Montana State on Oct. 13 launched them to the top of the ranks, coinciding with a North Dakota State loss. EWU remains as the top-ranked team for the second consecutive week, while an undefeated Cal Poly sits in 11th. Cal Poly, also new to the Big Sky in 2012, is one of two remaining undefeated teams in the FCS. Northern Arizona rounds out the Big Sky teams as the number 13 team in the nation.
