BOZEMAN — Montana State will carry at least one impressive streak into the 2014 football season. The Bobcats finish 2013 ranked among the nation’s top 25 teams, the 58th straight week MSU has been ranked dating back to the 2010 preseason poll.
While their position in the season-ending poll is not what the team had hoped for, it gives MSU’s senior class the distinction of having been ranked among the nation’s top 25 FCS teams for every week of their college careers. This year’s class of senior spent an unprecedented 43 weeks in the top 10, including a school-record 40 in a row.
The Bobcats finish 2013 ranked 20th in both the Fathead.com Sports Network poll of media members and Sports Information Directors, and the FCS Coaches Poll. Montana State finished the 2013 season with a 7-5 record after three straight losses to close the season. The Bobcats missed the FCS Playoffs for the first time in four years.
