PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Offense – none

Defense – DE Caleb Schreibeis (6-3, 253, Sr, Billings, MT)

Caleb Schreibeis led Montana State’s suffocating defensive effort Saturday, as the Bobcats held Eastern Washington to just 211 yards of offense and 13 first downs. Schreibeis registered six tackles Saturday, including three solos and two sacks of Eastern quarterback Vernon Adams, who had been sacked just five times in 2012 before Saturday. Schreibeis also had another half-tackle-for-loss.

BOBCAT NOTES

• With his two touchdown passes against Eastern Washington, DeNarius McGhee broke Kelly Bradley’s career record for touchdown passes (60)… McGhee now has 61

• Montana State remains the Big Sky team with the best conference record since the beginning of 2010 (17-3), while Eastern Washington is second (16-4)

• Lee Perkins caught his first career touchdown pass for the Bobcats Saturday

• Montana State continues to lead the Big Sky in rushing defense and total defense

• The Bobcats sacked Vernon Adams four times Saturday, one less than he’d been sacked to that point

• The Bobcats surrendered their first blocked punt for a touchdown since 2008 against Eastern Washington, but the Bobcats allowed a pick-six for the second straight week
