Blue Devils upset Yellowjackets

Corvallis picked a good time to get its first win over a conference opponent.

The Blue Devils got 13 points from Lakyn Connors and 10 points and 10 rebounds for Jordan Miller to beat Stevensville 35-33 at the Southwestern A Divisional tournament at the Maroon Activities Center.

The Blue Devils (2-17) advance to take on Hamilton in Friday’s 6:30 p.m. semifinal game.

Alycia Sims, who hit a meaningless 3-pointer as time expired, scored 14 points to lead the Yellowjackets (10-9), who head to loser-out play.

Stevensville was 0 for 17 from the field in the first half. The Yellowjackets missed their first 30 shots.
