The newly-organized youth mountain bike team, Copper Sprockets, is having preseason ride Tuesday evening at the Whiskey Gulch Mountain Bike Skills Park, just west of Montana Tech on Bluedbird Trail.
Riders are asked to meet at the parking lot at 6:15 p.m. to have their bike checked for ride readiness. Riders of all skill levels are encouraged to participate. Basic skills will be covered for beginning riders and intermediate and advanced riders will go for short rides with NICA certified coaches.
Riders will return to the mountain bike skills parking lot at 7:30. New riders will be required to have a parent or legal guardian sign a participation agreement and liability waiver before they can ride. The Copper Sprockets are operating under the guidance of the Highlands Cycling Club a 501 (c)(3) organization.
