HELENA — Helena High beat Butte High 6-0 in a cool, wet and windy girls’ soccer match Thursday.

The Bengals scored three goals in each half to beat the Bulldogs for the second time this season.

“We played with good energy today,” Bulldog coach Jacob Steilman said. “Players were working hard all over the field. Some players took on a challenge of playing in new positions, and did very good. Christiana Beierle, Brie Birkenbuel, and Kassidy Carlson all played well.”

The loss closes the regular season for the Bulldogs, who will head to Kalispell Glacier Tuesday to battle the Wolfpack in a playoff match.

“We will hope to play spoiler in Kalispell next week,” Steilman said.
