BILLINGS — Caleb Bellach has his best game as an Oredigger Saturday.
The Montana State transfer poured in 28 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Montana Tech’s men’s basketball team to a 76-68 Frontier Conference win over Rocky Mountain College at the Fortin Center. (Stats)
Bellach connected on 10 of 15 shots from the field in the win that lifted Tech to 2-0 in league play and 9-3 overall.
Sindou Diallo added 15 points for the Orediggers, who led 41-33 at halftime.
Tech also got eight points from Drew Huse, seven from Derris Collins and Bridger Larson, five from Christian Jones, four from Keeley Bake, and two from Cody Baumstarck.
Maxim Stephens scored 18 points and grabbed nine boards to lead the Battlin’ Bears (0-2, 4-5). Abdul Bah scored 15, and Kael Robinson netted 12.
The Orediggers will travel to Dickinson State next Saturday for a non-conference game with the Blue Hawks. Tech’s next Frontier Conference game is Jan. 6 at Carroll College.
