A combined boys’ junior varsity and girls’ dual meet was held by the Belgrade and Butte High wrestling programs in the old Butte High gym Tuesday evening.
The bouts preceded the varsity dual meet between the boys’ varsity teams from the two schools. The preliminary meet saw the Belgrade wrestlers pull out a 39-36 win. Butte High won in the headliner, 48-28 (reported in a separate article).
Butte High pins in the prelims were by Jeremiah LaPier, Aydin Gonzalez, Camron LeProwse, Canyon Mullaney, Grady Winston and Rian Ferriter.
Most of the same Butte High wrestlers were vie in the CMR Holiday Classic this weekend in Great Falls while the Bulldog boys’ first unit competes in a dual meet tournament in Gillette, Wyoming.
