Bears battle past Western men

DILLON — Joe Barndt and Tyree Anderson combined to score 48 points Friday as No. 16 Rocky Mountain College topped No. 25 Montana Western 93-81 in a Frontier Conference men’s basketball game at the Straugh Gymnasium. Stats

Barndt scored 25 points and pulled down 15 rebounds to lead the Battlin’ Bears. Anderson scored 23 points.

Tyler Miller came off the bench to lead four Bulldogs in double figures with 17 points. Jordan Overstreet, also a bench player, scored 14, while Maazin Butler tossed in 12 and Kris Castro scored 11.

Rocky improved to 9-4 in conference play and 18-6 overall. Western fell to  6-5, 13-9.

The Bulldogs are back at home Saturday against Dickinson State.
