LIVINGSTON — Tricia Joyce and Tyge Yelenich topped the varsity field at the Park High School Golf Invitational Friday, marking the second time in as many tournaments that the Butte Central golfers notched top-five finishes.
Yelenich, a sophomore, fired a 4-over-par 76 to tope the boys’ field. He tied Jackson Beyer of the Bozeman junior varsity team for the best score of the tournament. Subvarsity results, however, weren’t factored in.
Yelenich followed a 39 on the front nine with a 37 on the back.
Livingston’s Colton and Winston Oppelt tied with Lewistown’s Jace Davis for second place at 82, leading the host Rangers to the team title with a 337 team score.
Lewistown took second at 349, one shot ahead of third-place Butte Central. Belgrade was third at 360, followed by Dillon at 395.
Butte Central’s Tyler Kump tied for 10th place at 87. Cameron Johnson finished just out of the top 10 at 89, while Sam Joyce fired a 98. Bryan Arnold carded a 109.

Kinsey Irvin of Lewistown was a distant second at 88. Teammate Madison Lewis was third at 97, while Livingston’s Hunter-Rose Goetz was fourth at 99. Only four girls broke 100.
Lewistown and Dillon were the only teams with enough girls for a score. Lewistown placed first at 394. Dillon shot 446.
