The Southwestern A All-Conference and All-State lists were unveiled to the media Monday morning, and three Butte Central players received honors.

Seniors Maci Reopelle, Sophia Burton and Avery Kelly all made the grade for the Maroons, who made an inspired run to the Western A Divisional tournament.

Making the honors more impressive is that the Maroons missed considerable time this season because of coronavirus scares.

Reopell, a 5-foot-5 setter, earned second-team all-conference honors to lead the way. Burton, a 5-1 libero, and Kelly, a 6-foot middle blocker, each received an all-conference honorable mention.

Dillon’s Ainsley Shipman joined Reopelle on the second-team.

Receiving All-State honors from the conference were Madeline Gilder and Jenna Jordan of Corvallis, Aliyah Anderson and Madison Weber of Stevensville and Cassidy Bagnell of Frenchtown.

Gilder was named the Southwestern A MVP, while Corvallis coach Laurie Jones took home league Coach of the Year honors.
