HARRISON — Butte Central senior Conor McGee ran to first place at the Harrison cross country meet Saturday.
McGee finished the 3-mile race in 17 minutes, 18 seconds to lead a strong performance by the BC team.
BC coach Bob Johnson said all of his boys finished with season-best times. McGee placed fourth at Livingston and Fairmont before Saturday’s win.
Brian McGeehan placed 14th in 18:57 while fellow freshman Theron Nelson took 25th in 19:44. Also, sophomore Ian Campbell placed 52st in 22:27, while freshman Nathan Ortega placed 58th in 24:46.
Butte Central senior Clay Stillwagon didn’t run because of an ankle injury.
On the girls’ side, sophomore Abby McGee placed 18th overall in 24:46.
BC also entered four runners in the middle school race. Cade Wyatt placed 10th in the 2-mile race in 15:16.
On the girls’ side, Shelby Walls placed fifth in 16:53. Lindsay McGree took seventh at 17:15, while Shea Davis finished 25th in 23:22.
