PONY — Butte Central runners Abby McGee and Brian McGeehan each placed fifth at the Harrison meet Saturday.

McGee took fifth in the girls’ race, finishing the 3-mile course in 20 minutes, 23 seconds. McGeehan ripped off a mark of 16:43 to take fifth in the boys’ meet.

Also for Butte High, Zach Carlson finished 19^th in 18:14, while Nathan Ortega placed 44^th with a time of 20:34.

“Zach, Nathan and Abby ran their person record today, and Brian was one second off his from divisionals last year,” BC coach Bob Johnson said. “They are definitely improving each week. I was very pleased today.”
