Butte Central juniors Kale Guldseth and Connor McGree were named to the Class A All-State football team.
The All-State selections, along with Southwestern A All-Conference honors were released today.
In all, 12 Maroons received postseason honors after the team earned a return trip to the playoffs in 2012.
Guldseth earned an All-State spot as a receiver, while McGree was named an All-State tight end.
Gulsdeth set the school record with 67 receptions. He racked up 841 yards and scored eight touchdowns. He caught eight passes for 77 yards in BC’s playoff loss at Frenchtown.
McGree hauled in 47 passes for 773 yards and seven touchdowns.
Both were named first-team All-Conference at those positions as well. McGree also took home a second-team All-Conference mention as a defensive end.
Sophomore Danny Peoples and senior Northey Tretheway earned first-team All-Conference honors — Peoples as a kicker and Tretheway as a cornerback.
Senior cousins Frank and Joe Joyce earned All-Conference accolades on both sides of the ball, as did juniors Wyatt Kingston and Connor Schulte.
Frank Joyce was second-team All-Conference at guard and defensive line. Joe Joyce was second-team as a running back to go along with honorable mention at strong safety.
Kingston was second team at receiver and outside linebacker. He also took home a second-team mention as a return specialist.
Schulte was earned second-team honors at offensive tackle and an honorable mention at defensive line.
Also, senior quarterback Brady Tippet earned second-team All-Conference honors while playing the same position as league MVP Ben Folsom of Dillon.
Junior Brant Ahlborn (guard) and sophomore Kaemen Richards (inside linebacker) received an All-Conference honorable mention.
