Butte Central will open the Southwestern A District volleyball tournament against a very familiar opponent.
The Maroons will take on Hamilton in a first-round match at 2 p.m. Friday at Corvallis High School. (Bracket)
Central closed the regular season with a Senior Night sweep of the Broncs Saturday at the Maroon Activities Center. BC enters the tournament as the No. 3 seed. Hamilton is seeded sixth.
The winner will take on the winner of the East Helena-Corvallis 4 p.m. match at 8 o’clock Friday night.
Dillon earned a bye with the top seed. The Beavers will play Frenchtown or Stevensville at 6 p.m. Friday. The Broncs and Yellowjackets open the tournament at noon.
The top four teams from the district tournament advance to the Western A Divisional tournament the next week in Ronan.
