BC JV boys split with Dillon, Livingston

Butte Central’s junior varsity boys’ basketball team fell at Dillon before beating Livingston at home last week. Following is a rundown of the two games.

Dillon 65, Butte Central 30
An eight-point game at halftime turned into a lopsided loss after the Beavers outscored the Maroons 20-4 in the third quarter. Wyatt Kingston scored 10 points to lead the Maroons, who also got six points from Frank Hendrickson, four each from Cal Hollow and Dylan Goodell, three from Jimmy Martz and two from Sean Burt. Jun Lin, Conor McGee, Seth Powers and Cole Harper also contributed for the Maroons.

Butte Central 49, Livingston 25
Led by a stellar defensive effort, the Maroons built a 34-10 halftime lead and held on for the lopsided win. Nine different BC players scored in the victory. Hollow scored 15 to lead the way. Goodell scored 11, Chad Peterson netted seven, Hendrickson and Wyatt Kingston scored four, Seth Powers scored three, Harper and Burt scored two and Lin tossed in one. BC also got solid contributions from Martz, McGee and Kyle Harrington.
