BC girls win easy in Livingston

LIVINGSTON — Butte Central’s girls’ basketball team completed the season sweep of the Livingston Rangers Saturday, winning 32-22 in the non-conference road game.

The Maroons improved to 11-4 with the non-conference victory.

Mariah Cooney scored 12 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead the Maroons, who play at Belgrade in a non-conference game on Tuesday.

Danika Neumann scored six points in the victory, while Hannah Stajcar and Alysea Pica scored four. Annie Ossello, Shelby Paffhausen and Sierra Pica each tossed in two. Aleesha LaBreche and Chandra McCurdy also played for the Maroons.

The Maroons led 14-0 after one quarter and 20-8 at halftime. BC, which was playing without leading scorer Danee Leary, outscored Livingston 7-0 in the third quarter before the Rangers made a run in the fourth.
