BC girls will play Browning

Butte Central will open the Class A State girls’ basketball tournament at 2 p.m. Thursday against Browning.

The Indians beat Livingston 62-36 Monday night in the Central A challenge game to advance to the State tournament, which is being played at the Butte Civic Center.

Marti Eagle Feathers scored 16 points to lead Browning, which outscored the Rangers 17-5 in the first quarter and led 31-11 at halftime. Tiara Gilham scored 14.

The Maroons beat Browning 72-52 in the Butte Central Tip-Off Tournament in Butte. That game was played Dec. 7 at the Maroon Activities Center.
