BC girls stay perfect with win in Dillon

DILLON — Butte Central’s girls’ basketball team ran its season record to 6-0 Thursday with a 45-37 Southwestern A win over the Dillon Beavers at the B.W. Lodge Gym.

Emily St. John tossed in 20 points to pace the Maroons, who improved to 3-0 in conference play. She scored 12 points in the first half to help the Maroons build a 26-16 lead.

BC extended the lead to 36-20 after three quarters.

Mollie Peoples scored 11 points for BC, which travels to Livingston for a non-conference game on Saturday. Kailee Murphy and Sierra Pica each scored six.

Brynley Fitzgerald scored 14 to lead the Beavers, who fell to 4-2 and 2-1. Alex Rouse hit three of the Beavers’ six 3-pointers and scored nine points.
