BC girls open at 2 p.m. Thursday (ticket info)

Butte Central’s opening act at the Class A State girls’ basketball tournament will be a matinee.

The Maroons will play at 2 p.m. at the Butte Civic Center against the winner of Monday’s challenge game between Browning and Livingston. BC earned a spot in the tournament by winning the Southwestern A title game last night at the Maroon Activities Center.

Butte Central’s boys’ basketball also advanced to State after placing second at the Divisional tournament. The Maroons will open the State tournament Thursday, March 7 at 8 p.m. at the Metra Park Arena in Billings. The Maroons will play Belgrade, which beat Browning in the Central A title game last night.
