BC girls make it 2 for 2 with win at Three Forks

THREE FORKS Butte Central’s girls’ basketball team is officially on a winning streak.

Eight different player scored Thursday night as the Maroons ran their record to 2-0 with a 51-41 non-conference win over Three Forks. Brooke Badovinac came off the bench to lead the way with 11 points. She sank 7 of 10 shots from the free throw line, scoring all of her points in the second half to help BC hold on for the win

Sofee Thatcher added 10 points for BC, which led 21-13 at halftime and 34-27 after three quarters.

Maddie Kump and Amira Bolton each contributed with eight points, Ella Moodry tossed in seven, Delaney Hasquet netted three, and Avery Kelly and Taylor Harrington each scored two. Payton Hartwick and Brenna Foley also contributed in the victory.

Jayden Woodland scored 10 of her game-high 15 points in the second half to lead the Wolves (1-3). Kinzee Howey scored eight points for Three Forks, and Brianna Warren and Ashlynn Swenson each tossed in seven.

The Maroons will look to make it 3-0 Saturday when they jump into Southwestern A play with a home game against Corvallis.
