A team comprised of Butte Central freshmen and sophomore boys captured the 8th–10th grade division at the Wayne Estes Basketball Tournament played over the weekend in Anaconda.
In the championship game the squad defeated a team from Missoula Loyola 84-53. Butte team members are Marcus Ferriter, Ben Holt, Dalton Sessions, Danny Peoples, Cole Harper, and Cal Hollow.
