BC boys roll in opener

MISSOULA — Three Maroons scored in double figures Friday, and the Butte Central boys’ basketball team rolled to a 60-35 win over Columbia Falls.

The game was part of the Southwest vs. Northwest Tip-off Tournament. Friday’s boys’ action is being played in the UM Auxiliary Gym.

Dylan Sestrich led the way for the Maroons, who led 16-8 after one quarter and 36-17 at halftime. Braden Harrington tossed in 14, while Gator Yelenich scored 11.

The Maroons also got eight points from Cade Holter, seven from Trevor Neumann and five from Luke Heaphy.

Drew Morgan scored 10 points to lead the Wildcats.

BC plays Browning at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Dahlberg Arena.
