HAMILTON — Brady Tippett scored 16 points to lead a balanced Butte Central attack Saturday, and the Maroons beat Hamilton 64-53 in a Southwestern A boys’ basketball game.

Seven different BC players scored as the Maroons improved to 5-2 in the conference and 9-4 overall.

“That was a good win for us,” Butte Central coach Brodie Kelly said. “Hamilton has been playing well. We played solid offensively. We took care of the ball and played together.”

Nate Bolstad scored 15 and Marcus Ferriter added 12 points in the victory.

“Marcus Ferriter had a great first half to get us going,” Kelly said. “Brady did a nice job attacking the rim. Everybody contributed and we had great balance.”
