Balanced Western tops Tech men

Montana Western saw five players score in double figures Thursday as the Bulldogs topped Montana Tech 81-74 in a Frontier Conference men’s basketball game at the HPER Complex.

Jae Owsley scored 15 points, while  Maazin Butler and Tyler Miller each scored 14 points in the win. Also, Jordan Overstreet tossed in 11 points and Vince Turk scored 10 as Western improved to 11-4 overall and 1-1 in conference play. Miller and Turk each pulled down nine rebounds as Western won the battle of the boards 45-31.

Adam Greger scored 18 to lead the Orediggers. Brandon Rydberg and Bryan Bock each scored 11 points, while Reid Baerlocher tossed in nine and Tanner Neumann scored seven. Also, Travis Peevey and Roman Pruneda-Garza both scored six.

The Orediggers fell to 9-7 and 0-2. The team will play host to Westminster College Saturday at home.
