Balanced Oredigger men go 2 for 2 in Oregon tourney

ASHLAND, Ore. — The Orediggers used a balanced attack Saturday to close out the Flagship Inn Tournament with a 2-0 record.

Caleb Bellach scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Montana Tech men to a 71-65 non-conference win over Oregon Tech at the Lithia Motors Pavilion. (Stats)

Bellach was one of five Orediggers to score at least nine points in the victory that lifted Tech to 6-2 on the season.

Sindou Diallo added 14 points for the Orediggers, who outscored the Owls 48-38 in the second half. Oregon Tech led 27-26 at halftime.

Cody Baumstrack tossed in 10 points, while Drew Huse and Camdyn LaRance each scored nine. Tech also got six from Taylor England, three from Derrius Collins and Michael Ure, and two from Bridger Larson.

Diallo dished out six assists, while Huse dropped five dimes.

Garret Albrecht scored 27 points to lead Oregon Tech, which fell to 2-4.

Montana Tech is back at home Tuesday to take on Yellowstone Christian College.
