Bado claims fourth straight city handball title

Brett Badovinac defeated Sam Sottosanti in a thrilling Butte City Handball Championship match Friday night at the Elks.

Badovinac won 21-20, 21-16 in a rematch of last year’s final.

The city title is the ninth for Badovinac and fourth consecutive. Badovinac is now tied with the great Ray Gallant for the second most Butte City Singles Handball titles. Only Jack Cavanaugh has won more, with eleven. He was tied with Tom Pomroy, who won the title eight times.

Don Foley defeated Marcus Madrazo 15-21, 21-10, 21-12 for third.
