Babcox, Rangers run past Butte Central girls

LIVINGSTON — Danielle Babcox tossed in 20 points, and Livingston outscored Butte Central 32-9 in the second half Saturday for a 49-31 non-conference victory.

The 6-foot-4 senior post scored 14 points in the second half.

Butte Central led 9-8 after the first quarter and 22-17 at halftime. Livingston, though, outscored BC 12-3 to take the lead for good. The Rangers secured the with a 20-6 fourth quarter.

Bobbi Lima hit five 3-pointers and scored 15 points for Livingston. Abby Kokot tossed in eight.

Tricia Joyce scored 14 of her team-leading 16 points in the first half to lead the Maroons, who fell to 7-9 on the season. Emma Keeley scored 10 points for the Maroons, who got three from Sofee Thatcher and two from Maddie Kump.

Central is back in action Thursday when the Maroons take on Butte High at the Civic Center.
